Cooking up Hope
American Cancer Society Hope Lodge

In October 2016, a few of our team members hosted a dinner at the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Minneapolis, Minn. The Hope Lodge is one of the ACS's more than 30 facilities in the U.S. that offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city.

According to Judy Warner, Inside Sales Representative, volunteering at Hope Lodge left an indelible impression on her, one that she won't soon forget. "It was a humbling experience. We received many hugs for the hot ham and potato dinner."

The Hope Lodge strives to provide its guests a home-like environment. The facility is equipped with private rooms and offers a wide variety of cancer programs and services in support of cancer patients and their caregivers.

Marian Dorn, Account Services Representative, appreciated the opportunity to volunteer with her colleagues. "It was wonderful to see my coworkers working together in a different atmosphere; everyone was so appreciative," she observed.

It was an experience that the team agreed they would definitely do again.
